What is FitForge?
FitForge is estimating and commercial management software for UK trade contractors. It holds your material, labour and plant rates, prices measured work against them, applies waste, site overheads, profit and VAT, and produces a quotation with payment stages and terms attached.
Who is FitForge for?
FitForge is for UK subcontractors who price measured work: drylining and partitioning, fit-out and refurbishment, suspended ceilings, plastering, insulation, flooring, tiling and decorating. It suits firms from a sole trader up to a contractor with a small estimating team.
Is FitForge available to buy yet?
No. FitForge is in development and open for early access only. The calculation engine, rate libraries and customer records are built and tested; the estimating screen you would use every day is still being built. Early access is free and no card is taken.
How much does FitForge cost?
The intended launch price is £29 per month for a sole trader and £49 per user per month for a team, both excluding VAT, with custom pricing for larger contractors. Nothing is charged during early access, and founding users keep the rate they join at for as long as they subscribe.
Does FitForge work on a phone?
Yes. FitForge runs in a web browser and installs to a phone or tablet home screen as an app. Site measurements, notes and photographs can be captured without a signal and sync when you are back in range.
Does FitForge work offline?
Partly. Site capture, covering measurements, notes and photographs, works with no signal and syncs later. Pricing an estimate needs a connection, because the calculation runs centrally so that every estimate is priced by the same approved engine.
Can I import my existing rates?
Yes. Materials, labour rates, plant rates and dated supplier prices can be imported, with duplicate matching on supplier, SKU, description and effective date so that re-running an import does not create second copies of everything.
Can I import supplier quotations?
Yes, on the Contractor tier. Merchant quotations are matched against existing suppliers and materials before anything is created, and each price is stored with its effective date so you keep the history rather than overwriting it.
How is FitForge different from a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet holds one job; FitForge holds your rates. When a board price changes you change it once rather than in every file, every estimate is priced by the same rules, and the arithmetic, particularly converting a target margin into a markup, cannot be broken by someone dragging a formula down a column.
Does FitForge handle margin and markup correctly?
Yes, and this is a deliberate feature rather than a detail. Adding 20 per cent to cost gives a 16.7 per cent margin, not 20 per cent. FitForge converts a target margin into the correct markup, and the conversion is covered by automated tests that run on every change to the software.
Does FitForge do CIS deductions or payroll?
No. FitForge prices work and manages the commercial side of a job. It is not an accounting or payroll package and does not calculate CIS deductions.
Does FitForge integrate with accounting software?
Not yet. Export to a file you can open elsewhere is available; direct integration with accounting packages is on the roadmap but not built, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in the United Kingdom. Your estimates, rates and customer records stay within the UK and are not transferred outside it.
Is my pricing data used to train AI or sold to anyone?
No. Your rates and estimates are not pooled, benchmarked, sold, shared with merchants, or used to train any model. Commercial rates are the most sensitive information a contractor holds and treating them as a data product would be a betrayal of the customer.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes, at every tier and at no extra charge. Rates, customers and estimates export as standard data files you can open in other software. There is no charge for leaving and no notice period.
What happens to my data if FitForge stops trading?
You would be given notice and an export of everything before any service was withdrawn. The underlying project format is a documented, open JSON structure rather than a proprietary database, which is deliberate: it means your estimates remain readable independently of us.
Who built FitForge?
FitForge is a product of Raido77 Office and Building Refurbishments, a working UK refurbishment contractor. It began as the firm's own estimating system, which is why the defaults are a subcontractor's defaults rather than a software company's guesses.
Is there a free trial?
Early access is free and open now. A conventional free trial will follow at launch.
